Sir David Attenborough’s “Blue Planet II: Live In Concert” is coming to Australia
An Australian tour of the live concert version of Sir David Attenborough‘s Blue Planet II has been announced for March 2019. The live event will see the series score played by the Sydney, Melbourne, and Queensland Symphony Orchestras, as a massive screen behind them displays clips from the series. Live narration will be provided by the one and only Joanna Lumley.
The tour will be the first time on stage in Australia for Lumley who is best known for her portrayal of Patsy Stone on Absolutely Fabulous. Blue Planet II: Live In Concert will play shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane beginning March 8th 2019.
The Blue Planet II series has been praised for it’s incredible footage capturing the ocean and wildlife within it like never before. Filming of the series took over four years, saw creators visit 39 countries, across every single continent and ocean.
